Chairman of NGO International Cooperation Support Group Kozue no Kai.

In July 2015, he founded Kozue no Kai as a Self-Defense Forces support organization. Working with the Toyama Prefecture and Toyama City SDF Family Associations, he ran welcome-home gatherings and study sessions for returning personnel, sustaining community-rooted activities.

From 2020, under the slogan “Circles of goodwill, spread through raisins,” he shifted the main focus to international aid. Through donations to roughly 600 locations, he built a record of cooperation with the Self-Defense Forces, government agencies, foreign embassies, municipalities and facilities, overseas NGOs, and volunteer groups.

Following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of January 2024, he shifted the work to disaster-recovery support, which continues today from the two bases of Yokohama and Oku-Noto.

Married, father of eight (seven of whom serve in the Self-Defense Forces).
